- Cuttings from
Large Plants Its never too late to get a cutting. If you forgot to get one earlier, go ahead and take a cutting from a flowering or budding plant. You can get this cutting to grow. This is a process known as regeneration. When your cutting begins growing from this stage it looks a bit different. It will almost look like a small tomato leaf at first. This is normal. The plant will go through a process of growing single finger leafs with more fingers appearing later.
