Oregon group trailblazing medical marijuana education

Jenifer Valley, founder of Stoney Girl Gardens, with her Oregon Medical Cannabis Award

Medical marijuana activists in Oregon are shedding much needed light on an important topic. Stoney Girl Gardens, founded by Jenifer Valley in 1999, is a private organization of patients and caregivers seeking to further educate the public regarding various aspects of medical cannabis. The work they are doing is paving the way for new patients and doctors to gain access to the bountiful information they’ve gathered and collected for over a decade.

jeniferocc[1]Some of the projects Stoney Girl Gardens is involved with include presenting to the Michigan Medical Marijuana Association and various THC Foundation clinics in Michigan, California, and Colorado; contributing a segment on growing methods and various strains to Ed Rosenthal’s upcoming “How to Grow Handbook” coming to stores this fall; being featured in the “Big Book of Buds 4” also due out this year. If this isn’t enough, they are also international award winning growers having won awards in the Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam, and have won first place for their unique breeds at the Oregon Medical Cannabis Awards. Another very exciting effort Stoney Girl Gardens is working on is preparing a syllabus for Oregon Health Sciences in an effort to educate new doctors about medical marijuana.

Stoney Girl Gardens is also involved with a current effort, I28, to provide taxation via medical marijuana sales to provide for senior citizen groups, pain management groups, and rehab for Oregon residents in need of such services. Click here for more information about signing this petition.

Founder and activist, Jenifer Valley, was diagnosed with stage IV cancer in 1999. Since she has built upon her philosophy that helping others is what qualifies as true success, she has helped provide education to medical marijuana patients and caregivers. During this time Jenifer has developed region-specific strains and methods that allow just about anyone to grow their own medicine successfully.
